Mecum Gears Up for 1,200-car Harrisburg Sale

While many in the car world are looking ahead to Monterey Car Week as we roll into July, Mecum is gearing up for another massive sale in just a few short weeks.

Mecum’s Harrisburg sale is expected to bring over 1,200 cars to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex from July 27-30, including everything from American Classics to muscle cars, Corvettes, exotics, hot rods and more.

Among the featured vehicles at this year’s event are a selection of cars from the Dan The Oil Man Collection, including a Bloomington Gold Certified and multiple NCRS Top Flight 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie in Sebring Silver. It’s one of 2,610 built with the 360-hp fuel-injected 327 V8 and a 4-speed manual.

Alongside that is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 fastback with its original 428 Super Cobra Jet V8 and the Drag Pack. It’s finished in Black Jade with gold striping, and is also a 4-speed model.

A 1970 Plymouth GTX in Deep Burnt Orange Metallic is also available — this one with a rare V1G Gator Grain vinyl top and a 6-bbl 440-ci V8 and 4-speed.

If recent muscle values are any indication of current market performance, all of these cars will be ones to watch as they cross the block in Harrisburg.

Beyond the Dan The Oil Man Collection, Mecum will also offer a 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP500S Quattrovalvole with 18,000 kilometers, a 1950 GMC 5-Window pickup and a 1930 Ford Model A pickup that was given the Model A Restorers Club of America Award of Excellence and Master Restoration awards, as well as an AACA Senior Grand National First Prize in 2009.
