Hot August Nights — the car lovefest for thousands of gearheads — with streets full of muscle cars, customs, restomods and Detroit Iron from the 1950s through the 1970s — will light up for nine days this summer.
The party starts in Virginia City, Nevada from July 29-30. Then everyone moves to Reno-Sparks from August 2 through August 7.
Since 1986, thousands of gearheads — and thousands of cars — have made this part of Nevada the place to be for American car lovers. Organizers expect 6,000 cars and trucks, along with thousands of car fans, at this year’s event.
“Our team at Hot August Nights is again excited to bring this important special event back to northern Nevada for its 35th year,” Alan Tom, executive director of Hot August Nights, said in a press release. “We’re ready, our community is ready, and I can tell you, our participants are really ready. The schedule includes hundreds of activities to include Show-n-Shines, nightly cruises, MAG Auctions, Swap Meet, Big Boy’s Toy Store, free live entertainment, our ever-popular Drag Races and Burnouts — along with many other fun activities for the whole family. We sincerely thank our many dedicated volunteer members, participants and sponsors for their support throughout the last year.”
Hot August Nights is a bucket-list event for anyone who loves cars, hot rods, trucks and customs from the 1950s through the 1970s.
