Gooding & Company to Hold London Auction in 2022

On the heels of a successful push into the international market, Gooding & Company has announced it will hold a UK-based sale in partnership with the 2022 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace. The London Auction is scheduled for Saturday, September 3^rd of next year.

This comes after two strong Geared Online auctions with available lots based in the UK, as well as the awe-inspiring Passion of a Lifetime auction in 2020. These international sales have realized some exceptional results, including the $3.5m sale of a 1969 Ford GT40 and a $3.7m sale of a 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT. The biggest star of Gooding’s UK auctions thus far is the sale of the 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports — a works Grand Prix car used during the 1934-35 season. It achieved $12.6m when it rolled across the block, which made it one of the top sales at auction in 2020.

The 2022 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace, scheduled for September 2-4, marks the tenth anniversary of the event. There are some special plans already in the works to celebrate the occasion.
