When a car commercial flashes on the TV screen, well, most of us sit up a little.
After all, that’s a car up there.
But, after we see the same reel three or four times, it often becomes wallpaper. That’s not always true. Remember those 2002 Cadillac commercials with innovative stories, fantastic camera work — and Led Zeppelin blasting “Rock and Roll” in the background?
Unforgettable.
The best car commercials capture many of the feelings and reasons why all of us love cars — new cars and older cars.
Chevrolet has hit a home run this December with a commercial that features a dad, a daughter and a 1966 Chevrolet Impala convertible decaying in a barn. It’s been in pretty frequent rotation during football games, but I haven’t seen it while watching the two broadcast TV shows I never miss.
I’m putting the link right here, just in case you haven’t seen it.
