A one-of-one 1998 McLaren F1 with special prototype headlights installed at the factory will go up for sealed bids on RM Sotheby’s online auction platform on August 18.
Bidding will close 48 hours after the auction starts on Sotheby’s Sealed.
No other McLaren F1 has these factory-installed headlights. The car has less than 16,400 miles on the clock.
Only 64 McLaren F1 road cars were made, and they are considered among the best, most-desirable cars ever produced.
A McLaren F1 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans outright in 1995. The F1 remains the fastest naturally aspirated car ever built. These cars are considered top-of-the-line collector cars.
This car has had two owners since new. For more information on the car, or to register to bid, visit www.rmsothebys.com.
