The allure of lost treasure is still a major motivator in today’s collector car marketplace — and we’ll see that on display at RM Sotheby’s upcoming sale of the Rudi Klein Collection in Los Angeles this weekend.
Starting in 1967, Klein gathered up sports cars and specialty vehicles in his junkyard in Southern L.A. — most of which were rare or unique. As these cars gained in value over the years, rumors of his collection made their way around the car world — and now, the vehicles he saved are heading to auction for the first time — engines, parts, complete cars and more.
The auction will be both live and online, with plenty of dreams and projects to go around. The action starts on Saturday, October 26 at 10 am PST.
