For the past 24 years, RM Sotheby’s has held an Amelia Island auction in conjunction with the longstanding Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance each March. After the 2022 event, that agreement came to a close, with Hagerty’s Broad Arrow Auctions taking over as the official auction of the new, rebranded “The Amelia.” RM Sotheby’s made the decision to launch a new event starting in 2024.
This week, the company announced their plans for an all-new event in March 2024 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, FL. For this event, RM Sotheby’s is partnering with MODAEVENTS to launch MODAMIAMI — an event that’s aiming to feature the best in automotive, art, cuisine and design experiences.
MODAMIAMI will take place from February 29 through March 3, culminating in a car show that will bring significant motorcars to the Biltmore in Coral Gables on Sunday.
Premium experiences are the goal, from world-class cuisine prepared by renowned celebrity chefs to superb driving opportunities.
“MODAMIAMI is set to be the ultimate playground for luxury enthusiasts who want to experience the best of the automotive, culinary and design worlds all in one place,” says Rob Myers, Founder and Chairman of RM Sotheby’s. “The collaboration between RM Sotheby’s and MODAEVENTS will present an alternative to a traditional concours d’elegance in a city filled with fantastic nightlife, five-star hotels, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences that we know our clients will enjoy. We’re looking forward to bringing this elevated event to a broad audience of classic car aficionados along with our partners and hosting another game-changing auction in the Miami area.”
