Formula One cars will be blasting under the lights of the Las Vegas strip in November — and RM Sotheby’s will be there, partnered with Wynn Las Vegas, to present the official auction of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The sale will take place on Friday, November 17 at the resort’s Awakening Theater. Consignments include cars owned by motorsports legends, sports memorabilia and other luxury goods.
The Awakening Theater offers a 360-degree experience, complete with a multi-level prismatic stage and a custom sound system. RM Sotheby’s says the production of the auction will “parallel the theater’s technological advancements and splendor.” Considering the levels at which auction presentations have already evolved over the past few years, this will be something to watch.
“The official auction of the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix will bring together the worlds of automobiles, hospitality, and sports, showcasing the world’s most coveted cars along with iconic memorabilia,” said Bryon Madsen, President of RM Sotheby’s. “It is poised to be the ‘must-attend’ motorsport and luxury event of the weekend, second only to the race itself.”
