Retromobile — that celebration of motoring that takes over the Porte de Versailles in Paris each February — has been postponed for 2021.
Citing regulatory issues and restrictions surrounding the pandemic, as well as general uncertainty due to COVID-19, show management elected to move the event from its originally scheduled February date to June 2-6, 2021.
“The anticipation surrounding the 46th edition is very important, which is why we are adapting and looking forward to seeing you in June 2021 for an exceptional spring edition. Our objective remains the same: support the market’s recovery and continue to make mature, keen and curious classic car enthusiasts dream” said Jean-Sebastien Guichaoua, Retromobile’s Show Director.
The Bonhams, Artcurial and RM Sotheby’s auctions have yet to make announcements about their own Paris events, which were also scheduled to take place in February alongside Retromobile. Watch this space for more information on these events as it becomes available.
While it may be disappointing to wait, all of the elements that make Retromobile special will be there in June: over 1,000 vehicles on display, and over 600 exhibitors, all showing off the best of what Europe’s collector car scene has to offer.
