Register Now for the 2022 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA

After a two-year hiatus following the inaugural event in 2019, the 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA is rumbling back for the second time on October 18 to 23. Entrants will spend three days travelling 500 miles around Middleburg, VA and Washington D.C. with the route finishing at the Embassy of Italy in D.C. The event’s first full day, October 19, will be used for pre-race training at Summit Point Motorsport Park in West Virginia.

There are two ranges of eligible cars participating in 2022. The first is the 1000 Miglia Era Car Class of models built from 1927 to 1957 that took part in the original 1000 Miglia Speed race — or cars produced in that period with high historical or sporting interest. Those will be chosen at the discretion of event organizers. The second range is the Post-1000 Miglia Era Car Class of grand touring cars produced from 1958 to the present, including Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, AC, Porsche and Chevrolet Corvette.

Each of those classes will be further broken down into two categories: Veteran Crew and Novice Crew. To be considered a Veteran Crew, one of the crews two drivers must have participated in at least two iterations of the 1000 Miglia between 2013 and 2022. Novice Crews are comprised of two drivers that have not taken part in more than one edition of the 1000 Miglia during that same time period.

Up for grabs is a trophy for the top three finishers in both the 1000 Miglia Era Class and Post-1000 Miglia Era Class. The team finishing first place in the 1000 Miglia Era Class will also be presented with two watches by Chopard.

Furthermore, the two top teams in both the Veteran and Novice groups of the 1000 Miglia Era Class will receive the right of admission to the 1000 Miglia 2023. The duos finishing first in the Novice and Veteran groups in the Post-1000 Miglia Era Class will also receive the right of admission to next year’s Mille Miglia.
