Mecum’s Glendale auction rolls into the State Farm Stadium outside of Phoenix on March 5 and runs through March 8. Over 2,000 cars are on the docket, including a handful of American muscle cars from the Mopars 5150 Collection.
If you’re not already familiar, Mopars 5150 has an established Instagram presence as a finder of muscle. The goal has been to save as many Mopars as possible — and they’ve been able to source some pretty rare pieces in the process.
The collection at Mecum isn’t 100% Mopar, but there are some great Dodges and Plymouths in the mix, including a 1971 Plymouth ’Cuda with a 528-ci Hemi, a 1969 Dodge Super Bee A12 with its proper 440 Six-Pack and 4-speed, a 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A, a ’70 Plymouth Road Runner V-code 440 6-bbl with a 4-speed, a 1969 Dodge Charger and a 1968 Dodge Charger Custom with a supercharged 725-hp Gen III 426 Hemi.
Beyond the Mopars, this collection includes a custom lowered ’68 Chevrolet C10 pickup, a 496-ci equipped 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, a 1964 Chevrolet Impala with a 409-ci dual-quad engine and a 1970 AMC Rebel Machine.
