The market has been hot as of late — particularly for Mecum Auctions, which just keeps setting records for overall sale prices just about anywhere it sets up shop.
Indy was the most recent event, and the trend continued there with $217m in overall sales. Now the company is looking toward the summer — particularly to Orlando, where its Summer Special Collector Car Auction is set to take place from July 6-9.
Here are the basics: 1,500 cars planned, presented inside Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center. Early highlights include a 1970 Buick GS Stage 1, a 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 fastback, a 1957 Oldsmobile Super 98 convertible, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop, a 1961 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite, a 1988 Porsche 930 Turbo and a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
Mecum will also present the “Magnificent M-Cycle Collection,” made up of 14 motorcycles, which includes a 1989 Honda CR80 and a 1975 Indian MM5 Mini Bambino.
