Jay Leno, former “Tonight Show” host, car collector and Linkage columnist, was injured in a gasoline fire and is currently undergoing treatment at a burn center in Los Angeles, according to several news reports.
“I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire,” said Leno. “I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”
Leno was working on his 1907 White steam car at the time of the fire. He suffered an injury to the left side of his face, his hands and his chest, but he is otherwise OK.
Leno has canceled his engagements for the remainder of the week.
