Simon Kidston, world-class car broker and author of “The Lamborghini Miura Book,” is auctioning off the very first copy of the limited-edition book this week.
The auction benefits Race Against Dementia and ends on December 23 — this Wednesday — at 21:00 CET.
Miura Book No. 1 is in a bespoke gold slipcase, and Sir Jackie Stewart, founder of Race Against Dementia, will sign the book. Stewart’s beloved wife, Helen, is battling the disease.
“The Lamborghini Miura Book” was limited to a printing of 762 copies, and it sold out in less than a week. The book, a handsome, comprehensive reference book for Lamborghini Miuras, is now a must-have collectible.
“It is now trading on the open market at a multiple of its launch price, so this is a chance to not only own the very first copy, but also play a part in fighting for a worthy cause,” says the auction website. “Jackie will also host the winning bidder for a private lunch at his home when he will dedicate the book personally to the bidder.”
