The Amelia Island Concours week has moved from March to May, but while RM Sotheby’s auction and the concours are set to go for the late spring shift on the ground in Florida, Gooding & Company has made the decision to instead postpone their in-person Amelia sale until 2022.
In lieu of Amelia 2021, however, Gooding & Company has launched a new Geared Online event, taking place from May 3 through May 7.
Gooding’s Geared Online events have presented the company’s traditional buyers — and new eyes — with a distanced but still comprehensive method for buying and selling top collector cars at auction. While the event is handled remotely, the cars are all presented on-site at Gooding’s facility in Southern California, which allows bidders the ability to see each lot in person prior to bidding.
