The allure of the barn find is just as strong as ever — and Gooding & Co will be tapping into that allure with its upcoming Geared Online auction scheduled for December 4-8.

Several barn-fresh cars will be included in this 30-lot auction, including a 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster that was recently discovered in long-term California ownership. The car was originally delivered to Hoffman Motors in New York and was finished in Ivory from new. It’s now in need of restoration — and Gooding & Co has it estimated at worth from $275k to $350k. It’s being offered without reserve.

Next up is a 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4-Litre roadster — one of 888 S models so equipped. It was originally black over red and still shows some of that scheme, although it too is in need of complete restoration. Gooding & Co estimates it to be worth from $80k to $100k, and it too will be sold without reserve.

Finally, Gooding will also present a 1956 Jaguar XK140 SE roadster, delivered new in cream over red. As an SE model, this car was fitted with special equipment from new that included the higher compression C-Type head. Gooding & Co is offering this car without reserve as well, with an estimate range of $60k to $80k.
The December Geared Online auction will also present a number of additional high-quality lots, including a 1970 Porsche 914/6, a 1975 Maserati Bora 4.9, a 1966 Lotus Elan S2, a 1969 Maserati Ghibli 4.7 and a host of rare and desirable collectors’ motorcycles.
