Each year, the Minnesota Street Rod Association puts on “Back to the 50’s Weekend,” a massive show packed with cars and events for the whole family. This year’s event is scheduled for June 17 to 19, taking place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul.
Of course, the cars are the real draw, but Back to the 50’s is also filled with vendor booths filled with speed parts and tools. It is also a great place find car literature or a shop to handle some of the specialty work you may need done. For those that like to search through piles of parts and get their hands dirty, there’s also a swap meet taking place on Sunday, June 19.
The Collector Alley and Cruise-N-Art Craft Fair are also located on the grounds. Collector Alley is the place to find the vintage or antique item you didn’t know you needed, and the craft fair offers the chance to view some great pieces from both local and outside artists.
For the younger attendees, Kid’s World features games and a rock wall to get some climbing time in. Those between the ages of 4 and 11 can even take part in the kids pedal tractor pull.
