This August, Broad Arrow Auctions will present its first live auction event during Monterey Car Week, taking place alongside Hagerty’s reimagined Motorlux event — previously known as the McCall’s Motorworks Revival.
As part of this new event, Broad Arrow Auctions has just announced a special collection of lots to be featured. Dubbed the Halo Car Collection, this seven-car single-owner collection features outstanding examples of modern sports cars and supercars. Most of these vehicles are very low mileage examples.
“The Halo Car Collection represents an exemplary group of modern sports cars that have benefitted from exacting care and maintenance since their initial purchase,” said Barney Ruprecht, Broad Arrow Auctions Senior Car Specialist. “Owned by a motoring enthusiast with a personal passion for spirited driving, each car in the collection was collected with specific intent including the Ferrari 812 Superfast, which was used extensively as a daily driver, accumulating over 3,500 miles from routine use. We are honored to have been chosen to offer the collection at our Jet Center auction in partnership with Hagerty, and we are confident that they will not only impress all potential bidders and interested collectors but win them over with their excellence and perfection.”
Alongside the Superfast mentioned above, the collection includes a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider in Azzuro California with Alcantara Nero interior fittings and $145k in factory options. The car has just 345 miles from new and is estimated at $600k to $650k.
There’s also a 2018 Ferrari California T built by Ferrari’s Tailor Made Division and featuring inspiration from the ex-Ingrid Bergman 375 MM Coupe Speciale, s/n 0456AM. It has just 124 miles from new and a pre-sale estimate of $250k to $300k.
The final Ferrari in the group is a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari — one of just 499 coupe versions built between 2013 and 2016. It’s in as-new condition, with just 143 miles from new. Broad Arrow estimates it at between $3m and $3.3m.
The collection includes a 2006 Ford GT in Midnight Blue Metallic over Ebony leather. It has 4,350 miles, as well as an upgraded Whipple supercharger and the Aquilon Butterfly door option. Broad Arrow expects it to bring between $375k and $425k.
The sole Mercedes in the group is a 2012 C63 AMC Black Series fitted with the B26 Aerodynamics Package and a Stage 3 Weistec M156 supercharger. It has 9,655 miles on the clock and carries an estimate of $125k to $150k.
Finally, representing Porsche is a 2015 918 Spyder — number 485 of the 918 built between 2013 and 2015. It’s a Weissach Package car in GT Silver Metallic and Garnet Red and Silver interior, and has 1,042 miles from new. It’s estimated at $1.45m to $1.65m.
The auction is scheduled for August 17 and 18 at the Monterey Jet Center. Learn more here.
