The Bonhams|Cars Zoute Sale is traditionally a big event for Bonhams, but this year, the event grossed the best result for the company in 2024. According to Bonhams|Cars, the auction attracted more than 1,100 registrations, welcomed an international crowd of several thousand people, many of which were bidding in the room. Several 7-figure cars sold from the 68 lots on offer, with the auction overall totaling €21.3 million ($23.5m).
A highlight of the auction was the return of the 1956 Porsche 550RS from ‘EQUIPE NATIONALE BELGE’ to its homeland. This race car was unveiled to the Belgian crowd for the first time, sparking significant interest, and it sold to a private Belgian collector for €2,530,000 ($2.8m).
A monochromatic 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss was presented in red-on-red. The very last of the Stirling Moss series, this car exceeded expectations, selling for €3,220,000 ($3.6m).
