Bonhams’ Live Greenwich Auction Returns

It has been three years since Bonhams last held its traditional, live auction in Greenwich, CT, but the drought will be broken this year when the revered auction house returns to New England for The Greenwich Auction on June 5.

A new location for the 2022 event is hosted by Berkley One, at the W.R. Berkley Corporation Global Headquarters in Greenwich. The new venue is conveniently located across the street from the site of the 2022 Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, taking place the same weekend.

“Greenwich has proven to be an exceptional venue from which to offer premier motorcars and Bonhams has a track record of auction success across a broad range of vehicles here,” said Bonhams Group Motoring Director Rupert Banner.

“Following last year’s fruitful boutique online Greenwich sale, which attracted an international audience, we are looking forward to returning to the heart of the collector car community and to meeting our enthusiast and collector friends in person at our live sale, in our stunning new venue,” he continued.

Current consignments for the auction include a 1927 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Pall Mall Tourer and a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 cabriolet, both offered without reserve. Also crossing the block is a 1967 Lamborghini Islero 400GT coupe, again, without reserve.

Astons will also be well-represented in Greenwich. A 1958 Aston Martin DB Mk III Sports Saloon and 1957 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk II Fixed Head Coupe by Tickford are two examples from the iconic British company to be offered. Leading the group is a 1966 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Sport Saloon with Touring Superleggera coachwork.
