Bentley Motors and The Little Car Company have teamed up to build a special version of the most famous Bentley in the world: The 1929 4 1/2-Litre Supercharged Team Car No. 2.
This car, known as the “Blower Jnr,” is the first road legal car from The Little Car Company — and it’s green in more ways than one. This car uses a 15 kW electric motor as part of a 48V electrical system. It has a top speed of 45 mph and an expected range of 65 miles. It can carry two adults in tandem seating.
“Blower Jnr” will be fully road legal in the UK, EU and USA. The company is calling it the most sophisticated city car ever built.
The car is crafted completely by hand, using authentic materials to match the original car. Its frame is painted steel with authentic details, including leaf springs and scaled-down original style dampners. It has Brembo disc brakes up front and drums out back, and all the batteries and drive electronics are hidden in an under tray. The charger is hidden in the replica blower housing up front.
The first 99 of these cars will be First Edition models, which will have special badging on the hood, door sill plate and dash. All of these models will be finished in Blower Green with matching chassis and wheels, and all will have the Union flag hand-painted on both sides of the body as per the original. The seats are upholstered in the same Dark Green Lustrana Hide used by Mulliner in the Blower Continuation cars.
The Blower Jnr will be making its debut this week in Monterey, CA — with production starting in the second quarter of 2024.
