The Audrain Collection showcased its 1964 ATS 2500 GT at the 2024 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, where it was awarded the ‘Most Elegant Post War Car’ and a Second in Class.

This vehicle was acquired by the Audrain Collections from the renowned collection of Dr. Nicholas Begovich in 2020. It’s one of only six known to exist. It was delivered new with “Nürburgring” gearing, but Begovich purchased an additional, lower gear set for the car from the factory and installed it for greater roadability.

This vehicle not only showcases advanced engineering and performance but also marked a significant milestone in Italian automobile history — Automobili Turismo e Sport, an Italian automotive manufacturer, producing the first mid-engined GT car built in Italy.

The ATS 2500 GTS features a Carlo Chiti-designed all-aluminum 3.0L V8 engine. The powerplant delivers 250 HP close to 9000 RPM, which set new standards in performance and power in its day. This innovation underscored ATS’s commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering top-notch driving experiences.

The 1964 ATS 2500 GT’s win as the ‘Most Elegant Post War Car’ is a testament to the collection’s dedication to preserving and celebrating the artistry of classic cars, ensuring that these treasures are appreciated for generations to come.

“We are honored and delighted to be recognized amongst such a significant gathering of historic vehicles,” said Audrain Group President Nic Waller. “The Concours at Wynn Las Vegas is a highly competitive and enjoyable event that has attracted a great many world-class cars and collectors. The ATS was one of the rarest cars on show and we are very proud of its heritage and historical importance.”
