Audrain Group Announces Audrain Youngtimers Event This July

The Audrain Group has announced the launch of the Audrain Youngtimers event on July 17, 2022 in Newport, RI.

The Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week has made a commitment to expand access to automotive events, and Audrain Youngtimers is all about reflecting and encouraging the growth of the world of automotive enthusiasm through the celebration of iconic cars of recent vintage, the fashion and the music that ties it all together.

What is a Youngtimer car? It’s a vehicle not yet old enough to meet the traditional criteria of “vintage,” but that speaks to its time in a compelling way. These cars resonate with both the people who remember how much they loved them when they were new as well as a younger generation discovering the appeal they’ve never lost.

Some examples of the kind of cars you might see at Audrain Youngtimers are:

1985 Jeep Wagoneer
1987 Fiat Panda
1983 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible
1989 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R
1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II
1991 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible
1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Targa
2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible

“Every day we discover the magic in what used to be taken for granted—but we understand it’s worth celebrating,” said Donald Osborne, CEO of the Audrain Group. “The cars, the clothes, and especially the music of recent memory are in desperate need of an event that brings them all together. So, let’s get together so that we can revel in the nowness of the recent past and move forward into the future. Collecting never stands still—it keeps moving forward.”

Tickets for the inaugural Audrain Youngtimers event go on-sale March 15, 2022.
