Over the last ten years, the Audrain Automobile Museum has featured some of the most significant vehicles from all eras and corners of the world.
On Saturday, September 16, Audrain will present its latest exhibit, “Stars of 30 Audrain Exhibitions,” featuring many fan favorites vehicles from the museums first 30 exhibitions. These include cars from “Women Take the Wheel: Fashion, Modernity and Automobile 1905-1945,” the 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C from the company’s logo, and Michael Schumacher/Eddie Irvine’s iconic V10 Ferrari 310B Formula One race car showcased in the second exhibit, “Supercar Evolution.”
“Stars of 30 Audrain Exhibitions” runs through through December 10, 2023.
“We are very fortunate to either own or have access to some of the finest vintage automobiles in the collector car world,” said Audrain CEO Donald Osborne. “It affords us the opportunity to continually offer the public exhibits that are historical significant and unique in their presentation.”
Making an encore appearance from the 15th exhibition, “Styling the Future: A History of GM Design & Concept Cars” will be Harley Earl’s 1938 Buick Y-Job concept car from GM’s Heritage Collections. Also on hand will be the Audrain’s 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse “LE CIEL CALIFORNIEN,” first seen in the 5th exhibition, “Speed Machines: Supercars, & Superbikes,” Several motorcycles have made the cut, including the 1953 Vincent Black Shadow from the 20th exhibition, “Balance & Power: The World on Two Wheels, 1885-1995.”
“It was very difficult to fine tune the lineup of vehicles we would feature,” said David de Muzio, Audrain’s Executive Director and Chief Curator. “After much debate, we feel that our latest exhibit encompasses the vehicles that drew everyone’s attention the minute they entered the museum. We hope everyone can join us to help celebrate some of the stars from 30 exhibitions as we look forward to continuing our mission of preserving, celebrating and sharing automotive history.”
Osborne added, “Having presented 30 curated exhibitions over the course of the last nine years, this exhibit showcases what sets the Audrain Automobile Museum apart from all other automobile museums in the country and the world.”
