Amalgam Collection has announced a new line of Ferrari 12Cilindri scale models, handcrafted and available in both 1:8 and 1:18 scale.
Amalgam’s engineers spent 3,000 hours developing the models under the watchful eye of the Ferrari team in Maranello, ensuring meticulous accuracy. Each 1:8 scale Amalgam model takes over 300 hours to hand assemble by a small team of model artists and craftspeople.
Only 199 of the Coupe and 199 of the Spider 1:8 scale models will be made, along with one-off bespoke models created to the exact owner and enthusiast-specification. These models pay homage to Ferrari’s new 12-cylinder supercar GT — a car that marks 70 years of Ferrari in the American market.
The limited-edition 1:8 and 1:18 models are finished in Rosso Imola with a Blu Sterling interior. They measure 59 cm (23 inches) long and 26 cm (10 inches) long respectively, with extreme attention given to accuracy and detail.
Each model is built of thousands of precisely engineered parts, including castings, photo-etchings and CNC-machined metal components. Every detail, from the car’s silhouette to its interior, has been recreated using original CAD designs, paint codes and material specifications from Ferrari.
“We’ve worked closely with Ferrari since 1998, so there’s always a special atmosphere when we produce a new model from the marque,” said Sandy Copeman, founder of Amalgam Collection.
“For collectors who demand an even higher level of personalization, Amalgam Collection offers bespoke models that can be tailored to the owner’s exact specifications. We get every technical detail of your chosen specification directly from Ferrari including paint sample cards and the relevant leather swatches. This customization service ensures that each Ferrari 12Cilindri model is not just a replica, but a unique reflection of the owner’s personal taste and style.”
